Dear friends,
Ash Wednesday has come and gone, but I’m determined not to let this Lenten season slip by me with its invitation to embrace the wilderness. We all experience the wilderness in one form or another. If I’m not mindful, I try to fight off its discomfort, pain, loneliness, and testing. Lent, however, invites us to welcome the wilderness with the expectation that God will minister to us there, transform us, and strengthen us by the Spirit’s power.
If you’d like to know more about Lent or how to posture yourself during this season, I invite you to listen to some of my Lenten messages here, which will also be released in podcast form in the coming weeks. I welcome you to prayerfully pay attention to how the Spirit is leading you this year.
Peace,
Heather
